Going Green - Not Just Recycled "Recycled"

Join us Wednesday, August 20, 2008 for the Lexington Advertising Club Networking Program and Luncheon, as paper experts Joan Wanninger (RIS Papers) and Jim Bird (Appleton Coated Paper) focus on new trends and products in the paper and printing industry. Most importantly, learn how you can "GO GREEN" in your business, become proactive in this emerging global concern (for you and your customers) and learn how to sell and promote green products and initiatives. We'll also learn more about the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as Joan and Jim break down the acronyms of that organization and the advantages of utilizing their efforts.

Conversations, Control and Calamity Ñ A Social Media Snapshot
Join us on Wednesday, July 16, as guest speaker Scott Clark helps us explore the emerging world of social media marketing and find out exactly what this powerful medium looks like in our everyday business lives, and more importantly, what impact this new communication tactic will have for our customers' overall advertising and marketing strategies.

Scott Clark is an independent consultant who started working in Website Development and Internet Marketing in 1994 while in the Silicon Valley. Currently he spends most of his time working in the fast moving worlds of organic and paid search optimization, social media marketing, split and multivariate testing of website offers, and integrated marketing activities. He is an accredited Google Adwords Professional, a Yahoo! Small Business Partner, a Yahoo! Search Marketing Ambassador, and holds certifications in several web marketing skill sets. Scott is a native of Western Kentucky and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Southern Illinois University and lives in Lexington with his wife and two daughters. Join us as the University of Kentucky's NSAC team delivers their AOL Instant Messaging Advertising Campaign. The team placed third in the 2008 AAF Fifth District National Student Advertising Competition -- just one spot away from a chance to compete in the NSAC finals at the AAF National Convention to be held in Atlanta this June.
